Face to face therapy

Taking account of looks and body language

I focus on practical, face-to-face therapy – not remote sessions – because effective communication support often depends on direct personal contact, especially for younger children.

For my sort of therapy, at least with small children, the contact has to be immediate, face-to-face therapy. That’s why I don’t generaly offer remote or online SLT sessions. In some situations, if someone is on the far side of the world or Britain or Europe, and mature enough to cope with the strangeness of online contact, I make an exception. But only then.

I don’t make physical contact or try to manipulate children’s mouth shapes, but I do need to be able to observe their body language and see what they are looking at, interested in, responding to.

If you’re looking for face-to-face speech and language therapy in Lambeth or greater London, I may be able to help.
