Face to face therapy

Taking account of looks and body language

Efective communication support often depends on direct personal contact, especially for younger children.

For my sort of therapy, at least with small children, the contact has to be immediate, face-to-face. That’s why I don’t generally offer remote or online SLT sessions. In some situations, if someone is on the far side of the world or Europe or Britain, and mature enough to cope with the strangeness of online contact, I make an exception. But only then.

I don’t make physical contact or try to manipulate children’s mouth shapes, but I do need to be able to observe their body language and see what they are looking at, interested in, responding to.

If you’re looking for face-to-face speech and language therapy in Lambeth or greater London, I may be able to help.

I travel or work online to carry out consultations with schools and other bodies.
