I make notes at the end of every session. I like to share these with parents – or with older children.

Reports are sometimes necessary for colleagues in various fields or for parents. On that basis, I believe that reports should be written with as little technical language as possible. If tests are referred to, there should be a brief explanation of what they test and why they were done, as well as what the results were, and what they show. Writing such a report is not a simple process. It takes as much time as it takes.

I discuss the circulation of reports with whoever asked for them and with the parents or, if the subject is a young adult, with him or her.
